If you hear someone describing something as swanky,
you may wonder what they are talking about - let me help…
It can be used in two ways – one positively, and the
other negatively. The positive meaning is something stylish and expensive
“That’s a swanky new jacket!” may be something
you hear.
The negative is boastful or vulgar
“look at him in his swanky car”…shows negativity.
