slang word of the day

Hi!
It’s that time of the week again people after a wonderful summer – another time to introduce you to a typical piece of street slang from London, so you can understand it, and if you feel comfortable, maybe even use it!
For today - literally
Literally is used to emphasise the meaning of the word or phrase you are saying. It is used to give the idea that you are being sincere and truthful about what you are saying.
You can use it like this.
It’s literally raining buckets outside.
(It’s raining a lot, I promise)
I missed the bus so literally had to run to work!
(giving the idea that you did something maybe shocking or unbelievable)
Now you know what to do, literally get practicing!
