Females at their finest!

The story of Anna Frank

"I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart!" This was only one of the numerous wise sayings a  little Jewish girl named Anne Frank wrote on her personal diary during World War II.
Anne was only 13 when she received the diary from her parents as a birthday present.Little did they know that this diary would someday be worldwide known and translated to more than 60 different languages,or that Anne would become one of the most famous women on earth.Although she was born in Frankfurt,Anne and her family were unfortunately persecuted by Nazis in 1930's and were forced to leave the country,as it had been conquered.

In July 1942,Anne and her family decided to hide in a shelter behind a bookcase in the building Anne's father used to work before the war. They stayed there for almost 2 years before they got discovered and transported to the camps.

The Shelter

Anne and her sister lost their lives in the camps, according to Anne's dad.He noted that after everyone in his family died,he returned to their old house in Amsterdam, only to find Anne's diary, which had been saved by one of the helpers.Seeing that his daughter had written extremely shocking experiences,Otto, decided to get it published.Today, almost the entire world has read this diary and each one of the readers has been left speechless of the events and the girl's maturity in such situations.
