Nirvana

Nirvana was an American rock band, that was active 7 years ~1987-1994~, during the band's life 11 people had passed and only 5 members stayed until the end ~Kurt Cobain, lead vocals, guitar - Krist Novoselic, bass, accordion, backing vocals - Dave Grohl, drums, vocals - Pat Smearl, guitar, backing vocals - Lori Goldston, cello. Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic started their career in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Although they released only three full-length studio albums in their seven-year career, they are the most important and influential rock band of the modern era.

Nirvana was officially a part of music when they published their first album Bleach on 1989. On 1991 they met a great success with their huge hit "Smells like teen spirit", which was the main single from "Nevermind". Kurt Cobain was characterised as a "representative of a whole generation", called Generation X, and their most famous song "Smells like teen spirit" as an "anthem" of this whole generation. The band was dissolved after Kurt Cobain's death on 1994, but the influence and creativity didn't "die" with him and are continued until now. The band has sold over 25 million albums in USA and more than 75 million worldwide. 

 His last years of life Kurt had been dealing addiction problems with drug substances. He was found dead in his house in Seattle, on 8 April 1994. With the passage of times there are people who still think his death was an assassination and not a suicide. Kurt had been married on 24 Februar 1992 with  Courtney Love, with whom he had a baby. A note was find next to his dead body which read:
