It’s not
actually a word today – more a phrase…but ‘Bite your arm off’is
one which is seriously well worth knowing.
It sounds very aggressive, even dangerous – but the
meaning has nothing to do with the words used – it means in fact something you
are very excited about…
“I’ve got tickets to see Arsenal v Newcastle this
Saturday – do you want one?”
“Do I? I’d bite your arm off!”
As you can see, it means something you would really
love to do.
Time to use it!
