In 1873 James Clerk Maxwell

 managed to impart that electromagnitic waves could propagate through free space. Ten years later, Hertz verified the theory of Maxwell and descovered radio waves. In 1897 Marconi succeeds to send wireless signal to 3 km distance by checking up Hertz's experiments. It was Christmas Eve 1906 in New York when Feseden imparted voice and music by radio waves for the first time. 

Many invetors tried to make a successful result which is very common in our days. Nowadays, we can find radio everywhere, in cafeterias, in restuarnts, in your own car or in your own house. Especially in the first and the second World War radio played a major role in how people could be informed. They were hearing radio instead of watching tv (because television was not inveted yet).
