slang word of the day

Hi!
Slang word of the day time – and we’re looking at something very London-based…
To soft-soap somebody
This means to try to make something easier for somebody – usually delivering bad news or a criticism in an easier to take way.
For example – “That dress is…interesting”
“Don’t soft-soap me, you don’t like it do you?”
More next week!
