Martin Luther King
was born in January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. He was assassinated at the age of 39 in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. He was an American leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement and he fought against racial racism. His real name was Michael King but the elder King named him Martin Luther King. He attended Washington High School and later Morehouse College. He also attended Crozer Theological Seminary. His wife's name was Coretta Scott King.
On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, an African-American, refused to give up her bus seat for a white person as the law demanded so she was arrested.Martin Luther King took advantage of the situation and he organized protests and peace marches for the civil rights of African-Americans such as the right to vote,labor rights, desegregation. Most of them were successfully enacted into the U.S. law. He was arrested many times and many people attempted to kill him for his views. He was monitored by CIA and FBI and characterized "The most dangerous Negro in the country".

Assassination
On April 3, Martin Luther King gave a talk in which he said "I've Been to the Mountaintop" and he said that he wasn't afraid of death. He was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. He was on his balcony, in the hotel with his collaborators when he was shot in the cheek. The murderer was revealed a year later and sentenced to 99 years imprisonment.
