Slang word of the week…

Hi!
It’s that time again, so let me introduce you to another slang word from some of the most popular language of English.
Today it’s banger.

Banger is the slang word for sausage – in fact if you order them with mashed potato – you should ask for bangers n’ mash.

Bangers can also mean something very different – something that is broken and no use anymore – for example if you hear “my car is an old banger – I need a new one!”, you can guess it is not in good condition.

Finally, a new use for banger is a song which is very popular and danceable – a club hit (in fact Miley Cyrus has named her latest tour after this word)

See you next week!

MIKE
