A faithful Christian scared PAOKseriously at Eurocup’s first game.
Deeply religious Aaron Craft, goes to the church every Sunday and studies the Bible daily.
He brought it in his bag in the locker room of PAOK’s Sports Arena and faced PAOK wearing shoes that had his favorite bible verse written, which is Romans 5:8.
The verse reads, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we are still sinners, Christ died for us”.
Szolnoki’s guard is a special case of man. As he confessed during his academic years «firstly I am Christian and then I am student and basketball player».
He is very active, participating in Ohio State University’s organization Athletes in Action(AIA). He explains: «The members of AIA are not athletes that happen to be Christians, we are Christians that happen to be athletes».
Thessports.gr met him after the game against PAOK. «I try to study the Bible daily» he told us.
He gladly accepted being photographed and added: «I grew up in a family that had not any Christian member and this is a long story. Let’s not elaborate…
It was my personal choice to embrace Christianity during the academic years.
Basketball is a means to express myself, I play basketball for God».
His outlook on life brought peace of mind in his personal life, and if he was not feeling ill he would scare PAOK more.
The faithful Christian Aaron played yesterday(14/10/2015) for about 28 minutes, scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and made two steals, two turnovers and three assists.
Additionally at the 25th minute he gave advantage(45-46) to his team, scoring a three point shoot.
