Winning a Nobel Prize is extremely honourable for the people who receive it. They take it because they have done something special and good for humanity.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 to Mother Tereza. In this way the Committee recognized Mother Tereza’s help to suffering people, especially to children and refugees. Because of her, the world has become a better place.

Another person who has won a Nobel Prize is Rabindrantath Tagore. He was the first Indian man to win one. He was a poet, a philosopher and also an artist and he won the prize of Literature. He wrote many stories, novels, poems and dramas. He is also well known for composing music. His writings greatly influenced Indian culture during the late 19^th century and early 20^th century.

People may receive a Nobel Prize for chemistry, literature, peace, physics, physiology or medicine and economic sciences. My favorite award is the peace award, because you don’t need knowledge and education to receive it. You need a lot of love, patience and kindness.
